Scoring Rules for Battleship Competition Starting Monday Jan 27th and Wednesday Jan 29th.   Two nights will keep lanes open and get everyone involved who has shown interest.  

1. Competition will run from January 29th to May 27th.
-17 Wednesday nights in total.
-shooters best 12 nights scores will be used for final tally...this will allow shooters to miss 5 nights and still be in contention.

2. There is 18 targets for each shooter to hit.
-16 white on the ships.
-2 black mine targets.

3. White ship targets are to be shot first.
-each white target requires a clean hit without breaking the edge of the circle.
-If the edge of the circle is broken a second shot will be required which must a least break the edge.

4. Two black small circles (the mines) can only be shot after the after all ships are sunk.
-any contacts with the mines are a hit...clean hit not required.

5. A total of 30 bullets maximum will be allowed for each shooter to sink all ships and clear the mines.
6.  Point Breakdown:

 a) Each completed hit will be counted as 1 point.
b) Targets with a broke edge that have not been hit a second time will count as 1/2 point each.
c) Mines will count as 1 point each.

7. If a shooter completes the game before their 30 bullets are used: -the game will stop immediately.
-scores will be added up.
-4 points will be awarded on top of the 18 points for a total of 22 points.

8. Games to be played each night.
-each shooter will play 4 games.
-total from all 4 games will the shooters score for the night.
-no shooter shall play the same opponent more than twice per night.

9. In the event of a tie game:
-each player will shoot 10 shots at a new target...best score wins.
-if 2 shooters are tied at the end of the competition...they will play a best 2 out of 3 games...same rules/scoring apply.

10. All shooters will be provided with a score sheet:
-shooters name is be added at the top.
-shooters opponents name to be added for each game played.
-shooter and opponents both must initial results.

11. Shooters scores will be posted on a chart at the end of each night for all to see.



First Place: Ruger mark IV .22 LR. 

 Second Place: 10 lbs of Scallops.
Gift Certificates for Robins and Pizza will be awarded for best single game, lowest amount of bullets used, and highest overall night score.
